Love your reviews specially when you compare products because saying the molecular mesh is as good as instant angel but less dewy is very helpful.

Oh good! Also, maybe it is a fluke, but even though the tube is metal it didn’t spill out as much as my instant angel has in the past.

Definitely on a budget these days so excited brands like Experiment exist. Will give Molecular mesh a try the next time I need a new moisturizer. When it comes to growth factors I use Stratias Interface. Thanks for the great post!

Stratia interface is SUCH a great product— I don’t know how they get it down to that price point. 👏🏻

I haven’t even begun reading past the first paragraph and just have to hop down to say THANK YOU for bringing this to substack!!! I’ve been off IG for the most part since early November iykyk and I’ve missed your reviews. Loving this in depth written format!

That makes me so so happy to hear. I was very nervous as to other people would be annoyed or totally not interested in a Substack.

So happy you’re on Substack! I’m actually new to the app but I really value your opinions and appreciate that we get a front row seat here 🍿

As some have pointed out, I really like when you are able to compare products to others. Or when you might want to use a certain product for a specific reason.

I’m so glad you’re on Substack! I’m 43 with your same skin type and recently found your IG. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your unbiased, in-depth reviews of skincare products, as well as your testing and scientific explanations about the products you’ve tried/used/love! I’ve recently ordered Decalt, Poems from the Lab Vit C, the Currently Body light mask and acne pen, and I’m planning on purchasing a growth factor serum for my regimen, as well as the Defenage serum. Thank you SO MUCH for your posts!!

I’m so excited you’re doing this! Also, lol, I’m so lazy with body care, too. All the very (verrrry) extensive effort put into my face leaves me spent. The idea of doing one more step makes me want to light myself on fire

I’m glad I’m not the only one! One of my best friends always makes fun of me because of how lazy I am with my body care. After every single shower, she puts lotion over her entire body and I just don’t understand how she has the motivation to do that. 😅

I’m so glad you joined Substack! I recently started using the Medik8 MP and like it so far—I think my skin definitely feels softer in the morning since starting to use it. Can’t wait to hear what you think of it after your full test. I have the AOS GF serum too, and I’ve been applying that to my neck while using the Medik8 on my face. But I have also used the AOS as an eye serum at night and on my eyelids with no issues. The AOS does have a scent, but it doesn’t really bother me. I also tried the Bioeffect EGF based on your recommendation and just finished my first tube. I was considering trying their eye cream too, but I’ll stick w my AOS eye cream for peptides and moisture.

I love getting an early peak at the products your trying! It looks like you’re going with the Medik8 liquid peptides over the The Ordinary Growth Factor Serum, do you ever use both a GF serum & a peptide serum?

Vanessa's avatar

Definitely I do. I basically see it as it can’t hurt. I see growth factors and Peptides is being very complementary and by having products that’s happened to both it’s really just like filling in gaps (in benefits) that The other product doesn’t cover.

Question for you about layering a moisturizer on top of Bioeffect eye serum. The company doesn’t recommend it because “It is possible that fatty/oily substances in creams may reduce the efficacy of the Barley EGF” I’ve been layering INNbeauty over it per your suggestion. Do you think it’s an issue?

Love this stack! I just got Molecular Mesh in the mail tonight. Cant wait to try it over tret to see if it helps calm my skin. I know you have your thoughts on blue light but I’ve used it since my 20’s (still have my OG litestem handheld my derm sold me eons ago (in my 50’s now). I’ve never had issue w blue light. I also use it on many clients in my esthetics practice. Zero issues. I’ve discussed it w many colleagues and they have not had any issues either. Just my 2 cents with my personal and professional many years of anecdotal experience. :D Can’t wait for the next stack.

I have the shark mask and I love the under eye cooling pads but I would like to reap the benefits of red light around my eyes. Do you think it’s worth it to get a separate eye area only mask?

I totally agree about Molecular Mesh. I’m lowkey obsessed and I’ve only had it a few days. And also adding Morrocan Oil body oil to my Sephora cart because I got a sample of it and was so impressed by the texture/dry down/smell!? I was not expecting that. You’ve totally validated my feelings lol. Love your Substack!
